Your reply inspired me and Keiko to talk for a while about acoustics. Keiko has once heard a concert in a cave, not an ice cave, but one with stalactites and the bottom partially underwater. She loved the clear and well-balanced acoustics of the cave.
I guess that a hard, uneven ice wall would also be a good sound reflector, supporting just the right frequencies for giving a concert. Or how did You like the sound of the ice cave?
In my youth I was known to walk in subzero temperatures wearing hardly more than a T-shirt. However, it seems that my range of comfort centers at higher temperatures than that of Keiko.
